When you say looping, you’ve also got to say Ed Sheeran. Well, that's only figuratively true. Unless, of course, you have a rare case of Tourette's, in which case we’re sorry for reminding you.
Our point is this: Ed Sheeran is possibly the biggest looping act out there. Still in his early twenties, he has had countless #1 hits and plays big venues. Like B I G. Many in that position would tour with a full-sized band. Ed Sheeran, on the other hand, often performs as a one-man looping act. Hats off to that.
For a long while he toured with a Boss RC-30 until he dished it for a custom-built loop controller called "The Chewie Monsta" in 2014. [You can read more about that here]
Now, even though TC-Helicon doesn’t carry a product similar to Chewie Monsta (no one really does), we’re seeing a lot of looping artists doing cool Ed Sheeran covers with the VoiceLive 3.
This video is a nice example of that. Marcus Kietsch takes on Sheeran’s “Don’t” with a sheeran-esque confidence and a flow many singers would kill for (again, only figuratively true). But hey, check it out for yourself and see what you like about it. And while you’re at it, why not see if the VoiceLive 3 is something for you?
Warning: If hearing the f-word will make you do a spit-take, don’t drink anything while you watch this video… just don’t.
